Gardening

So I've been trying to work in the yard a little here and there. We have a large yard so I've really had a hard time trying to maintain it all. But this is what I've done so far. I know its not much but it's a start.

JUST KIDDING! I saw these pictures of the Olympic Gardens and I loved them.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school for Jake, Jesse and Mom. Sam will wait until the day after Labor Day. The boys got in their uniforms and packed their lunches and Sam finally realized they were going and he wasn't. He was heart broken. He cried all the way to Grandma Joy's until I told him he could help take care of Grandpa (he broke a bone under his eye and in his nose). Jesse had the same teacher but Jake had a new teacher. We met her for dinner the other night at Chik FilA. But for some reason Jake gets really worked up and nervous with change. You can tell by the pictures Jesse has no fear. He's ready for anything anytime. They both did great at school today. My class went great too. I think I have a really good group this year.
Jesse has told everyone he is famous. He colored a weather picture and turned it into the newpaper. They put his picture on the front page on Saturday.

How will the tooth fairy know where I am?

Jake's front tooth has been loose for quite awhile. We've all given plenty advice and offered help to get it out. Finally, when we were at a hotel in Moab Jake laid down on my lap and said I'm ready. He told me after 10 seconds he would need a break. We only made it to 4 and it was out. Next, he asked how will the tooth fairy know where I am? I think he asked this because the tooth fairy at our house has gotten very tired before and forgot. He thinks the tooth fairy is a little unreliable. Anyway he took a quiet moment and made a double wish for the tooth fairy to come. Luckily, the tooth fairy remembered and paid Jake $2. This is more then the tooth fairy has paid before. Before he got 4 quarters. The tooth fairy had to up it a little because a little girl at school said the tooth fairy brought her $20. Matt told him that it was a mistake because it was too dark in that little girls room and she thought she was giving the little girl a $1.

Long Road Trip

Well we just got back from Utah. That was a very long drive with 3 little amigos. The boys were pretty good though. We had so much fun seeing Grandma Gwen, Jul, Lucy and Mike. We were busy, busy, busy everyday. We went to temple square, Sweets candy factory tour, mini themed b-day party at Jul's, the gateway, swimming, Thanksgiving point, ate at the Mayan, and Moab.

Favorite Things we did;

Dad- Hiking at the arches, and eating at all the great sandwich shops we stopped at.

Mom- I liked everything except for the drive home. I especially had fun with Jul, Mike, Lucy and talking to Grandma Gwen.

Jake- He said his favorite thing was going down the tube slide at the swimming pool in sugarhouse. He went down at least 25 times.

Jesse- He liked going to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. He couldn't believe how big the dinosaurs were.

Sammy- He loved going on hikes in the mountains in Provo and in Moab. He cried for about 45 minuets on the drive home when the mountains disappeared.

SuperSammy

When Pop came to visit in March, he put this rope in the tree to swing. At first the boys were a little nervous to try it out. Sammy was the first to go for it and show the big boys whats what. Now, the boys are getting more and more brave. We haven't had any major injuries, yet.
